Submissions: The Vadose Zone Journal is a unique publication outlet for interdisciplinary research and assessment of the biosphere, with a focus on the vadose zone. Vadose Zone Journal is a fully electronic journal for manuscript submission, peer review, and publication. VZJ solicits original contributions, reviews, and opinion papers across a wide range of disciplines that involve the vadose zone, including those that address broad scientific and societal issues (e.g., climate change, bioenergy, sustainability, nanotechnology). Letters to the editor, comments, and book reviews may also be submitted. Papers may be submitted online at Manuscript Tracker (http://www.manuscripttracker.com/vzj/). See Instructions to Authors for additional information on submitting manuscripts. The submitting author should have sent each living co-author a draft copy of the manuscript and have obtained the co-author’s assent to co-authorship of it.
Manuscript Publication Fees: Membership in SSSA is not a requirement for publication in VZJ. For papers submitted January 2008 and following, accepted papers are assessed a publication charge of $80 per published page. Figures and tables are additional. No manuscript publication fee is charged for invited reviews, comments, book reviews, or letters to the editor.
