Contributions: The Vadose Zone Journal is an international peer-reviewed electronic journal reporting science-based disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and assessment of the mostly unsaturated zone between the soil surface to the permanent water table. The scope of the journal covers all physical, chemical and biological aspects of the vadose zone at scales ranging from the molecular to the global in the environmental, agricultural and earth sciences. Contributions reporting original research or brief reviews and analyses dealing with the vadose zone will be received from all disciplines, and from both members and nonmembers, for consideration by the editorial board. Papers may be volunteered or invited. Letters to the editor and book reviews will also be considered. Papers may be submitted online at Manuscript Tracker (http://www.manuscripttracker.com/vzj/). See Instructions to Authors for additional information on submitting manuscripts.
Manuscript Publication Fee: Membership in SSSA is not a requirement for publication in VZJ. Accepted papers are assessed a flat manuscript publication fee of $650. No manuscript publication fee is charged for invited reviews, comments, book reviews, or letters to the editor. The publisher absorbs the cost of processing illustrations up to $15 for each paper; additional costs are charged to the author.
